This study evaluated 12 commercially available polymeric packaging films differing in oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and carbon dioxide transmission rate (CO₂TR) for their suitability in MAP of mixed-berry trays stored at 2 °C. Headspace equilibrium gas compositions were measured at 24-hour intervals over eight days and compared against species-specific target ranges determined from prior single-species trials. Microbiological and firmness data were collected at four-day intervals. A film with OTR of 3,800 cm³/m²/day and CO₂TR of 18,000 cm³/m²/day delivered headspace conditions within acceptable ranges for all three species simultaneously and reduced mold incidence by 55% relative to a standard polyethylene control. Finite element modelling of gas permeation through the film was used to confirm experimental headspace trends and to predict equilibrium under alternative tray fill-weight scenarios. The results provide film specification guidance for packers handling mixed-berry formats and demonstrate that a single film solution can satisfy the conflicting atmosphere requirements of co-packaged fruit species.","excerptSha256":"159ca7d4bc8f64310e3995a2702062b7c1d27b0b908d7a4ed42f2855dd905dc8","id":"ev-80eca36a544ce3fe1b178ebcaad01fce2fd20b2d7b849a79980c3340d72dda3d","recordSha256":"ee6af34717ea067c5b5abe2db135559f5fd7aedcda37a39a37f8adcd7b8bae3c","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10216},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10216"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-beb656c1e3b9e50b412637677df85c860d6d41f10f11561580ac314d9dd7d009","recordSha256":"ee6af34717ea067c5b5abe2db135559f5fd7aedcda37a39a37f8adcd7b8bae3c","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10216},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10216"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Rapid and uniform pre-cooling of freshly harvested raspberries prior to MAP sealing is critical for establishing the target equilibrium atmosphere within packaging. This experimental study examined three pre-cooling protocols — forced-air cooling at 2 m/s, hydrocooling at 1 °C, and room cooling as control — applied to raspberry punnets subsequently sealed under a 5% O₂/15% CO₂ MAP at 2 °C storage. Headspace gas composition was monitored at 0, 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours post-sealing using an inline gas analyzer. Fruit core temperature profiles, firmness, respiration rate (CO₂ evolution), and drip loss were recorded throughout a 10-day storage trial. Forced-air cooling achieved target core temperature in 38 minutes compared to 210 minutes for room cooling, and resulted in target headspace O₂ equilibration 14 hours earlier than the room-cooled control. Faster equilibration was associated with significantly lower Botrytis incidence (p < 0.01) and superior firmness retention at day 8. Hydrocooling achieved comparable equilibration speed but introduced elevated free moisture that promoted calyx decay. The findings quantify the shelf-life benefit of investing in forced-air cooling infrastructure and inform revised pre-cooling standard operating procedures for export packers.","excerptSha256":"16166e7aea77a512debca0dfb337f796929f3689e37dd0f96fe4b56f61a1b69e","id":"ev-6b334ba93cd690401948064f998e6dbdbfb51c69944fe6382520f626101543ef","recordSha256":"69dc78db829d960667974da9bbad49ef3d3898a6eb2be265049b4df937cdc336","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10214},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10214"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-ec74851f830c1426a8046403b416b6ad773dc75d55c9f4bd8bf4620390cfa109","recordSha256":"69dc78db829d960667974da9bbad49ef3d3898a6eb2be265049b4df937cdc336","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10214},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10214"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This study investigated the effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on the postharvest quality and shelf life of Serbian-grown raspberries intended for export markets. This paper reports a feasibility study for implementing sensor-based dynamic remaining shelf-life (RSL) labelling on raspberry and blueberry consignments exported from Serbia. Time-temperature indicator (TTI) labels from two commercial suppliers were benchmarked against data-logger-calibrated predictive model outputs for Botrytis growth and total aerobic count across 24 simulated and 16 real export consignments. TTI colour-response kinetics were characterised at 0, 4, 8, and 12 °C and integrated into an RSL calculation algorithm using an Arrhenius-based temperature dependence model. Agreement between TTI-derived RSL and model-derived RSL was within ±1.2 days for 79% of consignments, which was deemed commercially acceptable by participating exporters. A cost–benefit analysis estimated that TTI-based RSL labelling could reduce consignment rejection rates at destination by 18–24%, yielding a positive return on investment for exporters operating above 50 tonnes per season. Regulatory and labelling compliance considerations under EU food law are discussed, along with the data requirements for formal TTI validation. The study supports the case for piloting RSL labelling in the Serbian berry export sector as part of a broader cold-chain quality assurance programme.","excerptSha256":"ac580056d9fe7881171d308d34684af5e9a20ac6f7a2593efcb8675e6d07230f","id":"ev-b5793075e08d411021b1ea6e7fd4631495e8ad26f55e34b44f53fc2afa0ee230","recordSha256":"7cddaef8e69956ab5fb7c4c0ed90243e5728411223ddc5db9a17a148cdf887fc","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10218},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10218"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-10a458ce51baca669acc28dd66245beaa4d20202354bfd42d7fd652ca4b053fe","recordSha256":"7cddaef8e69956ab5fb7c4c0ed90243e5728411223ddc5db9a17a148cdf887fc","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10218},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10218"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"shelf life\",\"modified atmosphere packaging\",\"berries\",\"cold chain\",\"predictive models\"]","excerptSha256":"040c8c31d5ac0b4d6dce04957a055dfd188615795c60829ea3f48e587c0a1916","id":"ev-1ec051b879775ad9339348cc4d2d35131a7d016e92ba166f47f41c85286e4345","recordSha256":"58815a4ee59d8f4e66d687ad4b14102555e207f7d6092dcf383dbc52e14691ef","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/975"},"recordId":"R0976"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-44c106fdc46c8b16bb6648441e2769043ac23bdaf036364dc3905429d72b99e3","recordSha256":"58815a4ee59d8f4e66d687ad4b14102555e207f7d6092dcf383dbc52e14691ef","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/id","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/975"},"recordId":"R0976"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Active packaging systems incorporating volatile antimicrobial agents derived from plant extracts represent a promising complement to conventional modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for fresh blueberries. This study assessed the efficacy of sachets containing encapsulated thymol and carvacrol — sourced from wild thyme and oregano — integrated into clamshell packaging under a 5% O₂/15% CO₂ atmosphere at 2 °C. Blueberry quality was monitored over 18 days for firmness, total anthocyanin content, weight loss, and microbiological load (total aerobic count and Botrytis incidence). Active MAP sachets reduced total aerobic counts by 1.8 log CFU/g relative to passive MAP controls at day 12 and delayed visible mold onset by four days. Anthocyanin retention was significantly higher in active MAP treatments (p < 0.05), suggesting a secondary antioxidant protective effect. Consumer acceptability scores obtained through a 40-member sensory panel confirmed marketable quality at day 14 for saline-active MAP versus day 10 for passive MAP controls. Migration testing confirmed that thymol and carvacrol residues in fruit tissue remained below European regulatory thresholds. This paper describes the integration of validated predictive microbial growth models for Botrytis cinerea and total aerobic bacteria into a digital twin architecture developed for Serbian berry cold-chain operations. The system ingests temperature and relative humidity streams from IoT sensors placed within refrigerated transport units and storage rooms, feeding real-time inputs into a model library calibrated for raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry substrates. A graphical dashboard presents logistics managers with dynamically updated remaining shelf-life estimates and spoilage risk scores for each consignment. A 12-month pilot deployment covering four exporting companies and 240 consignments demonstrated that digital twin alerts correctly flagged 88% of consignments subsequently confirmed to exhibit elevated spoilage at destination. False-positive rates were 9%, attributed primarily to anomalous sensor placement near evaporator coils. This study presents a stochastic modelling framework for predicting the remaining shelf life of fresh strawberries under realistic fluctuating temperature conditions. A Monte Carlo simulation approach was applied to propagate uncertainty in temperature distribution parameters — derived from 180 sensor-monitored consignments — through a validated secondary model for total aerobic count growth on strawberry. Output distributions of predicted shelf life were compared against observed microbiological end-point data from the same consignments. The stochastic model significantly outperformed its deterministic equivalent in capturing the spread of observed outcomes, with prediction intervals covering 91% of empirical data points. Sensitivity analysis identified mean transport temperature and frequency of door-opening events as the two variables contributing most to shelf-life variance. A simplified probabilistic shelf-life index (PSI) was derived for use by quality managers without specialist modelling expertise. The framework is applicable to other soft fruits and other pathogen or spoilage organism combinations, provided primary growth data are available. This work advances the practical deployment of quantitative risk-informed decision-making in Serbian berry export supply chains.","excerptSha256":"e9bfd0d79c866489679058b5e6ecaa4ac8518fa379a47d68046f5159e6da91e3","id":"ev-56865f93b4c1121fda88c2f3b372983e9c06f23af354f1eeb240af97cc900b6a","recordSha256":"5c74867f20e535bb4a0422248a3ad79ab92d35715e5a407fcfd347bb16bce2f1","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10215},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10215"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-2edf60541dc8e19f0c9f37c2f3471e784657dd66ec8a31d8598cc5d4bb6fdfba","recordSha256":"5c74867f20e535bb4a0422248a3ad79ab92d35715e5a407fcfd347bb16bce2f1","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10215},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10215"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This book chapter provides a comprehensive treatment of the engineering principles underpinning postharvest preservation of fresh horticultural products, with emphasis on modified atmosphere packaging and cold-chain management. The chapter opens with a review of the biochemical and microbiological deterioration mechanisms that govern shelf life in soft fruits, including ethylene-mediated ripening, oxidative browning, and fungal pathogen proliferation. It then develops the engineering framework for MAP system design, covering gas mass balance modelling, film permeability selection, and tray geometry effects on headspace equilibration dynamics. Cold-chain management is addressed through the lens of predictive microbiology, explaining how primary and secondary models can be linked to temperature monitoring data to generate real-time shelf-life estimates. A section on supply chain integration discusses how MAP and predictive modelling tools can be embedded in digital logistics systems. Case studies drawn from Serbian berry export operations illustrate the translation of laboratory models into operational practice, including a worked example of a forced-air pre-cooling and MAP line for a mid-sized raspberry exporter. The chapter concludes with a forward-looking discussion of emerging active packaging technologies and AI-assisted cold-chain optimisation. It is intended for graduate students and food industry engineers seeking a practically oriented reference.","excerptSha256":"d1bd207b7c82a5f0fcade3107a7d409f7f2a9fc2b50d664031d3864646bef950","id":"ev-4b3b56deb17fdff8a2c416e981826a6ce06e244e7b45fe0e80cbb3085670ca1a","recordSha256":"36e208123d133795c3db6ba805aaf0de081431889a4d797e1233ee69141bacc1","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10217},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10217"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0976","excerptSha256":"8a9229897d094ca26eb5778036616adee5d8ecd159340b0a7d99e4c17bcf8960","id":"ev-52066555914095676adbf7b7fb00fd86afe63e1753db1826ccd199acc30418d7","recordSha256":"36e208123d133795c3db6ba805aaf0de081431889a4d797e1233ee69141bacc1","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":10217},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-10217"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"industrial PhD supervision\",\"joint projects\"]","excerptSha256":"e9c7eb80b9da1cfbe0a8a66bfae569634b486739d9185abbf1ef6d812705e2c7","id":"ev-96b8969c395c9216a3f367b33f3e76adde7079b1082f4e40f8d62a3618108492","recordSha256":"58815a4ee59d8f4e66d687ad4b14102555e207f7d6092dcf383dbc52e14691ef","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/open_to","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/975"},"recordId":"R0976"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Worked with three fruit exporters on packaging trials.","excerptSha256":"1623adf073c17173188d1a74f7b8c7e76614e7186caa07c28835fd5f8a1af2de","id":"ev-1dc8d54eaa6a86588bdaa7d6ce85f0c5cf53b38ea41939d332a4603a6325a7f0","recordSha256":"58815a4ee59d8f4e66d687ad4b14102555e207f7d6092dcf383dbc52e14691ef","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/industry_experience","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/975"},"recordId":"R0976"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"The effect of oven ageing at 80 °C for periods of 0, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days on the properties of two mLLDPE cast films was investigated to assess fitness for shelf-life-extended food packaging. Films were evaluated by DSC (crystallinity, melting peak), tensile testing (yield stress, elongation at break), and seal strength at a fixed jaw temperature of 115 °C. After 28 days, crystallinity increased by 3.1–4.7 percentage points in both grades, consistent with post-crystallisation. Yield stress rose by 8–12 %, while elongation at break declined from 620 % to 490–530 %, indicating embrittlement. Seal strength dropped by 12–17 % relative to the unaged films, attributed to increased crystallinity at the film surface reducing interdiffusion during sealing. Oxidation induction time measured by DSC-OIT at 200 °C under oxygen remained above 25 min for both grades after 28 days, indicating that the primary antioxidant package was not depleted. The results suggest a conservative shelf life of 18 months for sealed rolls stored below 35 °C.","excerptSha256":"d916b7f64375073c0bbe3ed30a66f8e17a508419892034ce5a9cdb8834dbc402","id":"ev-971e9c4504f4a0ce11b0b18537540fc257d9c11afd1b43e4cc9d8e35b12529df","recordSha256":"105d33946a6cac02590bac3ca77bcc5d3d0913b1ac5f02e427892ed677818aee","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8000},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08000"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-b6121bcedbe395fd3caccae4ac05a2f664396af5b97e4c9c9e7c374cc9fd008c","recordSha256":"105d33946a6cac02590bac3ca77bcc5d3d0913b1ac5f02e427892ed677818aee","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8000},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08000"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"heat-sealable films\",\"metallocene polyolefins\",\"seal-layer formulation\",\"VFFS packaging\",\"thermal processing window\",\"rheological characterisation\",\"polyolefin blends\",\"sealing temperature range\",\"multilayer film extrusion\",\"film thickness optimisation\"]","excerptSha256":"a67c46b2752053a312a8086123e2c4fe1698934da1a9d481817cbb3bb041eeff","id":"ev-747f118ce0011752867eb9927f8b78e3401ce3a8f4c51062219dbfc2e1d84841","recordSha256":"8093cb1b4bfda49c08eb7c9dd787a53f8958973a7c5ccc62414560cb9987eeaf","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/714"},"recordId":"R0715"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-82cda35b5e00981edc68068dbbe208e45d149330c37e666d5658ed8bf5ef9d90","recordSha256":"8093cb1b4bfda49c08eb7c9dd787a53f8958973a7c5ccc62414560cb9987eeaf","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/id","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/714"},"recordId":"R0715"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A two-dimensional transient finite-element model of heat transfer from flat seal jaws through a multilayer OPP/tie/mLLDPE film stack was developed and validated against thermocouple measurements embedded in films at 0.1 s time resolution. Film layer thermal conductivities were taken from the literature (mLLDPE: 0.35 W/m·K; OPP: 0.22 W/m·K); jaw face temperature was set to experimentally measured values between 110 and 135 °C. Model predictions of seal-interface temperature matched experimental values with a mean absolute error of 1.8 °C across 48 test conditions. Simulations were then used to assess how jaw pressure (0.1–0.5 N/mm²) and dwell time (0.2–0.8 s) influence the time spent above the seal-initiation temperature of 97 °C at the film interface. Results show that for jaw temperatures at or below 115 °C, reducing dwell time below 0.35 s prevents the interface from reaching SIT even at maximum jaw pressure. The model provides a practical tool for setting sealing parameters without exhaustive trial runs.","excerptSha256":"a5c0eee05ea372d96d5a6754bd50d35e9a2002baf044fff625dd8229aae74df1","id":"ev-c628a2c79e9fd2ef14da9af311a67757db20870964f3f662eff4eea00a4439bb","recordSha256":"7b060ca88e9a474d0748210d0ba51717794050065bdec7cec13e0a8161c6fc73","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8003},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08003"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-41623446acbb287753741b9603711d6f5a851b8b24ed27cf8fdad38d7d5c9557","recordSha256":"7b060ca88e9a474d0748210d0ba51717794050065bdec7cec13e0a8161c6fc73","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8003},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08003"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Seal-Layer Blend Composition for Heat-Sealable Cast Polyolefin Films with Reduced Seal-Initiation Temperature","excerptSha256":"0b518d10b67deab32d68a9307493d67e7252e0bd2a7963540532ca3b7d413f5b","id":"ev-3b375aedd011472594e661aea69c6cf6f96d01e64a20a56c103a476113f017f9","recordSha256":"35ff827de33e3e53fd3891862f601c1bfb0739054a2b2a72458ce87de15793e9","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/patents.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/patents/53"},"recordId":"SYN-PAT-054"},"sourceFileSha256":"3b67cedd20f63d29cdb2ee868bd11761f2b4ba7e562988cb4b2af466cefccfe0"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-1ecd1ba751cd297a31a02bb31170ceb68a4cb6f65a3f71af399c21b9a32e71ec","recordSha256":"35ff827de33e3e53fd3891862f601c1bfb0739054a2b2a72458ce87de15793e9","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/inventors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/patents.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/patents/53"},"recordId":"SYN-PAT-054"},"sourceFileSha256":"3b67cedd20f63d29cdb2ee868bd11761f2b4ba7e562988cb4b2af466cefccfe0"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This paper reports a formulation development exercise carried out with a regional flexible-packaging converter. The target was to lower the required jaw temperature on a 300 bags/min VFFS line from 125 °C to below 110 °C without reducing seal strength below 25 N/25 mm or compromising hot-tack performance. Starting from a commercial 40 µm mLLDPE monolayer film, two modifications were evaluated: (i) partial substitution of the mLLDPE base resin with a 1-octene-based very-low-density polyethylene (VLDPE, density 0.900 g/cm³) at 10–25 wt%, and (ii) increasing seal-layer thickness from 40 to 50 µm in a three-layer coextrudate with OPP and tie. VLDPE addition at 20 wt% lowered SIT by 9 °C and enabled 26 N/25 mm plateau seal strength at 108 °C. Increasing film thickness to 50 µm without VLDPE gave a 5 °C SIT reduction. The combination of 20 wt% VLDPE and 50 µm gauge achieved a usable sealing window of 106–138 °C, a 32 °C range versus 18 °C for the commercial film. Peel force data and burst pressure data were analysed for correlation and for their ability to discriminate between adequate and inadequate seals. The two methods agreed in classifying seals above 110 °C as acceptable (peel ≥ 25 N/25 mm; burst ≥ 180 kPa), but diverged in the 100–109 °C zone, where 7 of 20 pouches passed the burst test but failed the peel criterion. Root-cause analysis by SEM cross-section showed incomplete interdiffusion at the seal interface in those pouches. Repeatability expressed as coefficient of variation was 5.8 % for peel and 9.2 % for burst across all jaw temperatures. The peel test is recommended as the more conservative acceptance criterion for VFFS applications handling liquid or particulate products.","excerptSha256":"bbca639909163f9310dc3047278f3118b64adecc08baa97f455a16548794b9b6","id":"ev-33c195708ff2fff797fab49701f06c57efdc90f726a2d059be7220ed7c30c83d","recordSha256":"7ce0780e242c174ca084c7d15037939bea4f7c4334bbf0cf64cadef6667fa990","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7489},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07489"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-6e615ea5162cae9bcf6c6593626786e9d695ab934626fab9e67f96ff4810b662","recordSha256":"7ce0780e242c174ca084c7d15037939bea4f7c4334bbf0cf64cadef6667fa990","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7489},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07489"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"seal-layer thickness\",\"OPP laminate\",\"hot-tack window\",\"gradient heat-sealer\",\"multilayer film\"]","excerptSha256":"d46c32d69571552fbab26a97ad9959c65b8cf1170f0f97f7488a53f6be5e7916","id":"ev-1f3158ffd5c6e5ca075db4573a2333cbf49448c16a8d78d04f09f0556de36956","recordSha256":"59b4101ee25695e8ce6609f0771cad7f6b816a2a9e797fad5b068d0e67fbc2b3","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7999},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07999"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-ecaf569acba30fad324c455e474ceefbf2e0979d644b8b95332d6dfe127df517","recordSha256":"59b4101ee25695e8ce6609f0771cad7f6b816a2a9e797fad5b068d0e67fbc2b3","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7999},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07999"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A blend composition for the seal layer of cast polyolefin films comprising 65–80 wt% metallocene linear low-density polyethylene with 1-octene comonomer, 15–25 wt% very-low-density polyethylene with density in the range 0.895–0.905 g/cm³, and 5–10 wt% low-density polyethylene with melt flow index below 1.0 g/10 min. Seal-layer thickness was varied at 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 µm while total film gauge was held at 60 µm. Sealing experiments were conducted on a laboratory gradient heat-sealer over a 85–140 °C jaw temperature range; dwell time was fixed at 0.4 s and jaw pressure at 0.25 N/mm². Seal strength and hot-tack force were measured. Films with 20 µm seal layers achieved plateau seal strength of 31 N/25 mm and maintained hot-tack force above 6 N/25 mm over a 28 °C window (108–136 °C). Reducing the seal layer to 10 µm narrowed the hot-tack window to 16 °C and lowered plateau seal strength to 22 N/25 mm; increasing to 30 µm provided no significant benefit. Optical microscopy of cross-sections confirmed nominal thicknesses within ±1.5 µm. The 20 µm seal layer is proposed as the practical optimum for this film construction.","excerptSha256":"383cef8de662e01029f6bd9922a320026543940d638ff5469cfc2b30dd68ee16","id":"ev-2269bbe3f5aa940da5f964104364eb277e5ce5bcc3cf573ad76642097d323b33","recordSha256":"59b4101ee25695e8ce6609f0771cad7f6b816a2a9e797fad5b068d0e67fbc2b3","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7999},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07999"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Seal-initiation temperature (SIT) is a primary determinant of packaging line throughput on vertical form–fill–seal machines. This work compared cast films produced from four mLLDPE resins differing in comonomer type (1-butene, 1-hexene, or 1-octene) at constant density (0.918 g/cm³) and melt flow index (2.0 g/10 min). Films of 40 µm nominal thickness were extruded on a laboratory cast-film line and sealed over a 90–135 °C range at 0.3 N/mm² and 0.5 s dwell time. Seal strength was measured by 180° peel on a tensile tester. The 1-octene grade yielded the lowest SIT (97 °C) and a plateau seal strength of 28 N/25 mm, compared to 108 °C and 22 N/25 mm for the 1-butene grade. DSC melting profiles correlated well with the observed SIT differences. Hot-tack measurements at 500 mm/s jaw separation confirmed that 1-octene resins provide a 14 °C wider hot-tack window, relevant for high-speed filling lines.","excerptSha256":"437b1950da47b8cca71a5ddd8a2bdf8a4a84579e49af06ba34f15d4f55cd6f7f","id":"ev-b6d880f12a644beb905ad69e18b897688c1788b0be1102671853df56fe8ee74d","recordSha256":"0f126ea1d190978c19ec86c286addfa60173a64d9e304dc3fd7df70713ed58d8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7997},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07997"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0715","excerptSha256":"6d294a9a832a436ceb8dc03eee09e54e3d1234670cd70a079764ca5a75d61f6e","id":"ev-20836d4e07d3829d75bbf1d985f8d40946ec28f8977ce774fc8106582cf2948d","recordSha256":"0f126ea1d190978c19ec86c286addfa60173a64d9e304dc3fd7df70713ed58d8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7997},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07997"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A cross-border collaboration between the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad and the Department of Plastics Technology at Budapest University of Technology, co-funded under Interreg IPA. The model couples Fourier conduction through the walls with Fickian vapour diffusion and accounts for condensation on internal surfaces when local temperature drops below the dew point. Internal heat generation was set at 5 W, representing a typical low-power controller unit. Simulations were run for a 24-hour diurnal ambient profile representative of a Pannonian autumn day. Results showed that condensation first occurred on the lower half of the front panel after approximately 17 minutes of rapid external temperature drop at −1.2 °C/min. Increasing the initial internal air volume by 30 % by deepening the enclosure reduced condensation onset time by only 4 minutes, while adding a 2-g silica-gel desiccant delayed onset by 38 minutes. The model was validated against thermocouple and humidity logger measurements from a physical enclosure subjected to a controlled temperature ramp in a climate chamber.","excerptSha256":"0693899c48827976924d23fc2ba7dd72b76b555f88fa1569e03f09cc23ad7378","id":"ev-1d1cb62fcaf9180140964a9614d45faf39dab9ecd125e2871b4590068b77f69e","recordSha256":"92b041b2d58edd7953de6d1ee723c22295c0cd63d857cdf619e6bc3b4e801fa8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5124},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05124"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0926","excerptSha256":"24ddcb677dd7ad4a4ad4fff5817b56cb225cab52be2de1e3ece269ec9991b71a","id":"ev-aacdb99a8471da4a306efd4b5f466038fa38a798ec71edc340d45826d38abec6","recordSha256":"92b041b2d58edd7953de6d1ee723c22295c0cd63d857cdf619e6bc3b4e801fa8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5124},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05124"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Numerical simulation of condensation risk inside sealed electromechanical enclosures using a coupled heat-moisture transfer approach","excerptSha256":"e51b19a75a42d9f472f35e7f6631c489ad8ae5c64671473e28eeb9a8e5bd29ce","id":"ev-69d781bf772c35a00ed8644dc01409b67af9c6deff1f319f574ddf0fdd65c3ea","recordSha256":"92b041b2d58edd7953de6d1ee723c22295c0cd63d857cdf619e6bc3b4e801fa8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5124},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05124"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Modelling Moisture Transport and Condensation Risk in Sealed Enclosures for Low-Voltage Infrastructure","excerptSha256":"8961d1362b936aee62ab9ef7629422c9087f30f7f58bd53cdb8ba407349e14f5","id":"ev-0f326969ca08f5b186dd9892cccafd1804daa61b7e13a159c2cccf08236069ce","recordSha256":"1eff90a59c5f78a357fe2a990ec0952b7d67e911776edc9bf7c951de04c30f8f","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/projects.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/projects/360"},"recordId":"SYN-PRJ-0361"},"sourceFileSha256":"847cb13091f91ed9fe57f6aea0088cd1e66ed0263c86a5090f169a2b30ab3a1a"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0926","excerptSha256":"24ddcb677dd7ad4a4ad4fff5817b56cb225cab52be2de1e3ece269ec9991b71a","id":"ev-3533aa5d6c7d68f7917e85f7a0a1659c727f342ed320b8c6cd7b498a59e83fc4","recordSha256":"1eff90a59c5f78a357fe2a990ec0952b7d67e911776edc9bf7c951de04c30f8f","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/participants/0/researcher_id","file":"data/projects.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/projects/360"},"recordId":"SYN-PRJ-0361"},"sourceFileSha256":"847cb13091f91ed9fe57f6aea0088cd1e66ed0263c86a5090f169a2b30ab3a1a"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Four commercial IP54-rated steel enclosures were instrumented with capacitive humidity sensors inside and outside, and temperature sensors at the wall mid-plane and external surface. They were mounted on a south-facing outdoor test rack in Novi Sad from March to October 2013. Internal relative humidity tracked external daily temperature cycles with a phase lag of approximately 3–4 hours. Total cumulative moisture ingress over the measurement period ranged from 4.2 to 7.8 g per enclosure, varying with seal type and mounting orientation. A one-dimensional transient diffusion model driven by measured vapour-pressure gradients reproduced the seasonal trend with a mean absolute error below 12 % when an effective diffusivity of 3.1 × 10⁻¹² m²/s was used for the compressed gasket region. The model indicates that horizontal lid orientation with a downward-facing seal gap reduces ingress by approximately 35 % compared with vertical orientation.","excerptSha256":"32bc6706a71b19ba8e1df655caa343c4d482dba5b7aaefed99afbc60445e35cc","id":"ev-1736659011644c5889f660fa37a4e9ef426a248de45b5ff77ee53776132ddd3c","recordSha256":"4036e57309b7d484aa3c4a31bd6506b74fde87f03075a9c4ca8fef2966845c8b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":9816},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-09816"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0926","excerptSha256":"24ddcb677dd7ad4a4ad4fff5817b56cb225cab52be2de1e3ece269ec9991b71a","id":"ev-2207c5d6f41b69b64051216c679011de3c50ca3ed1f3e190e3d226835fe63bf2","recordSha256":"4036e57309b7d484aa3c4a31bd6506b74fde87f03075a9c4ca8fef2966845c8b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":9816},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-09816"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Foam-in-place (FIP) polyurethane gaskets applied to twelve sheet-metal electrical cabinet covers were compared with die-cut EPDM strips on twelve matched cabinets over a 36-month outdoor exposure period in a semi-urban environment near Novi Sad. Both cabinet populations were inspected every six months for visual defects, and sample gaskets were removed annually for laboratory compression-set and Shore A testing. FIP gaskets maintained lower compression-set values (mean 17 % at 36 months) compared with EPDM strips (mean 29 %), and showed less dimensional variability across the bead cross-section. However, four FIP samples exhibited adhesion loss at corners after 24 months when substrate surface preparation was below the specified cleanliness grade. Internal humidity loggers showed that cabinets with FIP gaskets experienced 11 % fewer condensation events over the monitoring period. Cost-benefit analysis incorporating material, application labour, and seal replacement is also presented.","excerptSha256":"7e7f1d7a92a761fbc73c9f04bda8334db3c562e7a4aacb7e87c8fff14464a69b","id":"ev-8b50f299520730b72484c13f7e0b9da24ace263431119d1b2c38b858bcaa573d","recordSha256":"82a714587bc258eeaa681999a7d39a4e4b575820bd2ac85b033ffd7dedaff10b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7810},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07810"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0926","excerptSha256":"24ddcb677dd7ad4a4ad4fff5817b56cb225cab52be2de1e3ece269ec9991b71a","id":"ev-9a847d63065cc1ffb1e18ebdec0b3c74a2bb7036c2917c2f768d3e3cbeea287e","recordSha256":"82a714587bc258eeaa681999a7d39a4e4b575820bd2ac85b033ffd7dedaff10b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7810},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07810"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Fourteen silicone O-rings were removed from photovoltaic string combiner boxes that had been in service for approximately five years at three sites across Vojvodina. Helium leak tests were conducted at an internal overpressure of 0.5 bar. Leak rate increased by more than one order of magnitude when Ra changed from 1.6 µm to 6.3 µm at the lowest clamping pressure. At 4 MPa clamping, NBR showed a 40 % lower leak rate than EPDM on rougher surfaces, attributed to its higher elastic modulus enabling better micro-asperity conformity at elevated contact stress. A contact-mechanics model based on Greenwood–Williamson statistics was used to predict effective contact area and showed reasonable agreement with measured leak rates. Practical guidelines for flange finishing standards in low-preload enclosure assemblies are proposed.","excerptSha256":"64cf5ceb67ccec2d0e9cccebb629c34b503aed44c24cfb8fb69eb8c3e565dc3a","id":"ev-57afd62e93edd1605b05796aa1d564528ba3c7fd1ed0f046140ed375b7762506","recordSha256":"4de197b24a2ec8f5abe231e0b877fb61e3cdc278f74262c5b0dfd6d6a2960d8d","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":9815},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-09815"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0926","excerptSha256":"24ddcb677dd7ad4a4ad4fff5817b56cb225cab52be2de1e3ece269ec9991b71a","id":"ev-ee400d754ca933370c8ca6409a5cb7761baa7c5bedd67db51c1c4b93a8da3faf","recordSha256":"4de197b24a2ec8f5abe231e0b877fb61e3cdc278f74262c5b0dfd6d6a2960d8d","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":9815},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-09815"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"condensation\",\"heat-moisture transfer\",\"numerical model\",\"desiccant\",\"enclosure design\"]","excerptSha256":"8144c897cb14234fcd13fb499c608b792cb76650c1bf80ac0386d6ec43411451","id":"ev-56703aa357f89adec5793a773f46087d56ab92aba30e1e24e11d6db569ff1be1","recordSha256":"92b041b2d58edd7953de6d1ee723c22295c0cd63d857cdf619e6bc3b4e801fa8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5124},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05124"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Preferred collaboration topics are moisture ingress modelling and accelerated ageing test protocol development. This study systematically varied the interfacial HTC from 1000 to 10 000 W/m²K in a commercial process simulation environment for a PA6 box-shaped part (80 × 60 × 30 mm, 2.5 mm wall) and quantified the resulting spread in predicted warpage and residual stress distributions. Warpage at the open rim varied by up to 0.38 mm (factor of 2.4) over the HTC range, whereas residual stresses at mid-wall varied by less than 6%. An inverse identification procedure using CMM warpage measurements from 20 experimental parts at two mould temperatures was used to back-calculate effective HTC values. Identified HTC values were 2 400 ± 310 W/m²K at 40 °C mould temperature and 1 850 ± 260 W/m²K at 70 °C mould temperature. Recommendations for standardising HTC calibration in simulation workflows are given.","excerptSha256":"3da06811ff153800a173926a4a92cba9dac62c46a08cb621e0c4f0114bca911b","id":"ev-93e078cdd8b1516991c68e7f6576362c0743040e6472022dfb9af55e2125ad11","recordSha256":"e39ad38e6a8d8fcf06ef9425ec98c472224b16f2d00755f0f55e2cf1c30521d2","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5117},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05117"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0426","excerptSha256":"4378b58dd61b5677f9686161d85dc3884cb7f37b776519f2b9f4b8eb71ead58f","id":"ev-d38d601f45b7cfaa3cf77ba0ccab85f4b751c4784672e1270fe959df745d229e","recordSha256":"e39ad38e6a8d8fcf06ef9425ec98c472224b16f2d00755f0f55e2cf1c30521d2","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5117},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05117"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This study examines how packing pressure level affects the degree of crystallinity distribution and final part warpage in polyamide 6 (PA6) flat components (100 × 100 × 2 mm). Experiments were performed on a 60-tonne hydraulic injection moulding machine at packing pressures ranging from 40 to 100 MPa in steps of 20 MPa. Crystallinity was measured by DSC on specimens cut from five through-thickness positions. Warpage was quantified with a coordinate measuring machine at a 5 × 5 grid of points. Higher packing pressure increased average crystallinity from 28% to 36% but reduced warpage from 0.41 mm to 0.17 mm due to reduced volumetric shrinkage. A commercial process simulation code was used to model the crystallisation kinetics using an Avrami-type model with parameters fitted to the DSC data. Simulated crystallinity gradients matched measured gradients with a mean absolute error of 2.3 percentage points across all packing conditions.","excerptSha256":"d6b68dc06204593836434843da528c9803dee3c5da20e2b942a88b752b9e1114","id":"ev-05b3572c13bac99a9b7a119864a84e588a185903d89656ce31f08f7cd712d9bc","recordSha256":"316c805a3cc7601c8fb1825bbc688322f44c060d5f773913197e7d80725dd0cd","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":4565},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-04565"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0426","excerptSha256":"4378b58dd61b5677f9686161d85dc3884cb7f37b776519f2b9f4b8eb71ead58f","id":"ev-dba553716c3491d3de082fc556c43eb32fc7d3c4e4185e003fa93f012346cda6","recordSha256":"316c805a3cc7601c8fb1825bbc688322f44c060d5f773913197e7d80725dd0cd","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":4565},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-04565"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Sensitivity of warpage predictions to mould heat transfer coefficient: a parametric study for polyamide 6 box-shaped parts","excerptSha256":"865354ee5b43aeb05cf9eff2ec94ebba801119f347b992f50eba1b31a7aab61b","id":"ev-efc2af8341dbc3cfe6e47b48090f7de0e062757331e69e7fe0a66381c60b0483","recordSha256":"e39ad38e6a8d8fcf06ef9425ec98c472224b16f2d00755f0f55e2cf1c30521d2","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5117},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05117"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Thick-walled PP optical mounting brackets (nominal wall thickness 8 mm) for automotive lighting assemblies require tight dimensional tolerances and are particularly susceptible to warpage driven by differential cooling between the cavity and core sides of the mould. This study investigates the relationship between the cooling rate asymmetry and final warpage for four mould configurations with varying cavity-to-core mould temperature ratios (ΔT = 0, 10, 20, 30 °C; cavity side always colder). Warpage was measured on 15 parts per condition using a structured-light scanner with 0.02 mm point accuracy. Differential cooling induced a systematic bowing, with warpage increasing from 0.12 mm at ΔT = 0 to 0.91 mm at ΔT = 30 °C. Thermomechanical simulations captured this trend with a maximum error of 0.11 mm. Through-thickness crystallinity measurements confirmed that the core-side crystallinity exceeded the cavity-side value by up to 6 percentage points at ΔT = 30 °C, directly contributing to differential shrinkage.","excerptSha256":"733e6ed9d65fd186d6149628dd623a8c9ee7b11af78422e27def1b7fbe59f213","id":"ev-9a6aa7f8082a33136b1adbcc999fbf2830a4f209d44071b3f512fd7de0c7f5c2","recordSha256":"24aa7b2c643b12dce47836606d38a272245801f4702574e62fda2a1546e0da13","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5122},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05122"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0426","excerptSha256":"4378b58dd61b5677f9686161d85dc3884cb7f37b776519f2b9f4b8eb71ead58f","id":"ev-ff15f7865b5ca773f47423e27792d99ca0e824779b779e9bcab33b9f63188724","recordSha256":"24aa7b2c643b12dce47836606d38a272245801f4702574e62fda2a1546e0da13","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5122},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05122"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Temperature uniformity in mould cooling circuits: comparing Reynolds-averaged CFD with a simplified channel resistance network model","excerptSha256":"d631e8ef69f806dd37f1b07d15b02779554c9d37e558543ba135887109b8f098","id":"ev-1ddbd5bcd51f22154f77f3dc03f76899e08ec087b52a92b55390b5156e4d8ea1","recordSha256":"26afbf947ff881e50d4fcdcc7a2be314a1e8b2091f5e50cc8a86cb85c62fa367","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5121},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05121"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0426","excerptSha256":"4378b58dd61b5677f9686161d85dc3884cb7f37b776519f2b9f4b8eb71ead58f","id":"ev-23336c0f33af605cd093153cbb12f896ec410f2442c09ebc6b02078bc55eef9f","recordSha256":"26afbf947ff881e50d4fcdcc7a2be314a1e8b2091f5e50cc8a86cb85c62fa367","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5121},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05121"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"mould cooling\",\"CFD\",\"RANS\",\"cooling circuit\",\"temperature uniformity\"]","excerptSha256":"bbbcab3565ac4db1a416155feb53808342248dc9143b5da599eda1d8db8cd81f","id":"ev-be2530e343d237faf2779c0f898b1281d981da4c029f53ea88ceef35a3067242","recordSha256":"26afbf947ff881e50d4fcdcc7a2be314a1e8b2091f5e50cc8a86cb85c62fa367","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5121},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05121"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Aleksandar Bošković received his Dipl.Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Novi Sad in 2004 and his PhD from the same institution in 2011, with a thesis on residual stress formation in injection-moulded semi-crystalline thermoplastics. The process involves sequential injection into a rotary mould; the PP substrate cools partially before PA6 is injected over it. A sequential thermomechanical FE simulation was implemented to capture stress accumulation in both materials and at the interface. The PP thermoviscoelastic material model and PA6 crystallisation model were taken from previous calibrated studies. Simulations were compared against CMM warpage measurements on 40 two-component plaques (160 × 80 mm) produced at two substrate pre-cooling times (8 and 15 s). Predicted warpage matched measurements within 0.09 mm for the 15 s pre-cooling case and within 0.21 mm for the 8 s case, where incomplete solidification of the substrate introduced additional uncertainty. Interfacial stress concentrations are identified as a potential delamination risk at sharp edges.","excerptSha256":"5bb405a7061a150e427166402c137bb657287e74c4a3254621b4b28b36296432","id":"ev-9b29d9241388fed841c8dba189ac14d8de9da87c93b711c567e24865305a64a1","recordSha256":"c1dc25bec18cde4ac91c4c5c0d3e78129213c25e4f630d7f5faac8b33726ccfc","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5118},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05118"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0426","excerptSha256":"4378b58dd61b5677f9686161d85dc3884cb7f37b776519f2b9f4b8eb71ead58f","id":"ev-9b3e04a3eda1393ccb9f7af769623ed4c2643e1d5a238ef42b9397e9dd9e812e","recordSha256":"c1dc25bec18cde4ac91c4c5c0d3e78129213c25e4f630d7f5faac8b33726ccfc","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":5118},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-05118"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"The project addresses a gap in predictive capability for residual stresses and warpage in injection-moulded semi-crystalline thermoplastics. SEM cross-sections and atomic force microscopy revealed microcrack formation in the aluminium layer, with crack density correlating with ageing-induced OTR increase (R² = 0.87). Wide-angle X-ray scattering confirmed an increase in crystallinity from 42 % to 61 % with rising draw ratio. OTR values decreased from 1840 to 890 cm³/(m²·day·bar) over the same range. DSC measurements showed that lamellar thickness, as estimated by the Thomson–Gibbs equation, increased from 8.2 to 14.7 nm. A linear correlation was established between the reciprocal of lamellar thickness and OTR, consistent with a tortuous-path diffusion model. FTIR-ATR band ratios at 998/973 cm⁻¹ were used as an independent crystallinity index and agreed within 4 % with WAXS results. The findings provide quantitative guidance for process optimisation of BOPP films where oxygen barrier is the primary constraint.","excerptSha256":"d09f6ef62bbc52328465e94bc96129ea34ad01cf79901840651bb8087bd97991","id":"ev-bb25f2c9f39a77d1639fdb26136703e3c32f905fb8624682d5580f49444e34b2","recordSha256":"fc9714480f0edb31ac356ccd0746c15054902999282b0e047d009413a8d9af80","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2219},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02219"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0172","excerptSha256":"bc8439f991e9b14148e61dc1329fdecd38b60a2af76545d8eb12dab426e3fb48","id":"ev-562ebc70bf587caf4ef032764b60114525b4b75e224fc284ca9a027bb62f3957","recordSha256":"fc9714480f0edb31ac356ccd0746c15054902999282b0e047d009413a8d9af80","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/4/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2219},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02219"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A coextruded film comprising two polyolefin outer plies, two tie-layer plies based on maleic-anhydride-grafted polyethylene, and a central ply of amorphous polyethylene terephthalate of 15–35 µm thickness. Pinhole density ranged from 0 to 8 pinholes/m² and OTR ranged from 1600 to 3100 cm³/(m²·day·bar). A linear regression model explained 61 % of OTR variance (R² = 0.61) using pinhole density as the sole predictor; inclusion of film thickness, extrusion speed and melt temperature raised R² to 0.79. Films with zero pinholes showed an OTR range of 1580–1980 cm³/(m²·day·bar), confirming that pinhole-free conditions alone do not guarantee low OTR. These findings are communicated to the production partner as a quality-control decision tool. The methodology is generic and applicable to other thin film geometries.","excerptSha256":"19574852dbcfb405cf6711eed4ce1aa9998f1d036026120658fb13c3214d342e","id":"ev-5feadf2d909b44e3355fb960bd51717699eaa09d7e6637f877d14201a12f12d9","recordSha256":"b1ccb29d780076d0020ee2c040b2cd50d528c7a9cd6cb5b7654bfe06968e07c8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2229},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02229"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0172","excerptSha256":"bc8439f991e9b14148e61dc1329fdecd38b60a2af76545d8eb12dab426e3fb48","id":"ev-e83f0b7110fdf4ec4b09b15fe8d725c98ee745489fb8d8e766d60677a78862d7","recordSha256":"b1ccb29d780076d0020ee2c040b2cd50d528c7a9cd6cb5b7654bfe06968e07c8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2229},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02229"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"pinhole density\",\"OTR\",\"quality control\",\"cast film\",\"statistical modelling\"]","excerptSha256":"ca894f05a3affdc69f3c60b337cecf684358b4e3f42e1dee8c923baf1ca5dfd9","id":"ev-489ac83f00388acfec87ce4eb1f9f2be2bdb7c34bc94c339fb6f5efe613431a7","recordSha256":"b1ccb29d780076d0020ee2c040b2cd50d528c7a9cd6cb5b7654bfe06968e07c8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2229},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02229"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Alternating layers of poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) and poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) were deposited on corona-treated LLDPE substrates via dip-coating at pH 4.0 and ionic strength 0.1 M NaCl. Adhesion of the coating was assessed by tape-peel and cross-cut tests; failure occurred at the coating–substrate interface for samples with fewer than 8 bilayers, suggesting inadequate corona treatment recovery. Humid ageing at 85 % RH for 14 days caused an OTR increase of 35 % at 20 bilayers. The coating approach is positioned as an EVOH-free route to moderate oxygen barrier on flexible polyolefin substrates.","excerptSha256":"50370d82c1ce4686094467baa7df0441f238c8ab1b74609cf3a9661740dbdcbc","id":"ev-afde54df0d89befde0c9dd4d44dac5f2a9b80da23c53629d8614bba547e76284","recordSha256":"87d7e1868e6cf3733d9e0910611c64f18eb0bc84c3f5f3d986ea8c4b1287cd42","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2226},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02226"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0172","excerptSha256":"bc8439f991e9b14148e61dc1329fdecd38b60a2af76545d8eb12dab426e3fb48","id":"ev-f1761c3f46f1b63a2a7f0f374826186a75cd3609caf18e61f3de804afeeba3c6","recordSha256":"87d7e1868e6cf3733d9e0910611c64f18eb0bc84c3f5f3d986ea8c4b1287cd42","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/4/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2226},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02226"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"HDPE blown film\",\"crystalline morphology\",\"OTR\",\"processing temperature\",\"blow-up ratio\"]","excerptSha256":"b046a998a413725eeea71f5d53d1a1419b216b6100682c2a4f7db7ec4dc043fe","id":"ev-9ca801d0f5ee3317e345a88dec48c6fcc593c27a3059dec0c6c0c7d6029c3f3c","recordSha256":"350ab1ac8325634c2fb8eb962a14835a74156cc4aded9f227d20c8541643d27b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2225},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02225"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0172","excerptSha256":"bc8439f991e9b14148e61dc1329fdecd38b60a2af76545d8eb12dab426e3fb48","id":"ev-9a330f7f18056de0fda61baafb0e01fb8a76ff92220e74a417ec63534e1130f7","recordSha256":"350ab1ac8325634c2fb8eb962a14835a74156cc4aded9f227d20c8541643d27b","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2225},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02225"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Pinhole density and oxygen transmission rate in thin polyolefin coextruded films: a statistical correlation across production batches","excerptSha256":"1cfd7b62716fe0b63495600c89507f5f770ede77de049cddd8ae6705746bef50","id":"ev-692f723d29743fc156691357c8a99fe2dc80043b16a94cb7a17a54473c9823f6","recordSha256":"b1ccb29d780076d0020ee2c040b2cd50d528c7a9cd6cb5b7654bfe06968e07c8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2229},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02229"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Puzović is available for new collaborations from autumn 2026 onwards; she is currently finishing supervision commitments tied to the MONOBAR project. The domain included the polymer shell, an internal air cavity of 38 cm³, and a printed circuit board heat source. Boundary conditions followed a 24-hour ambient cycle between 5 °C and 35 °C at 60–90 % relative humidity, representative of coastal storage conditions. The dew-point margin at the coldest internal surface was tracked over 72 simulated hours. For a housing wall thickness of 2 mm with no desiccant, the dew-point margin dropped below zero during the cooling phase at hour 14, predicting condensation on the board. A three-dimensional steady-state CFD model computed the internal temperature distribution accounting for natural convection and wall conduction; the resulting surface temperature field was then passed as a boundary condition to a vapour diffusion model that predicted local relative humidity and dew-point margin at each surface node. A 6-litre ABS housing with a 20 W internal heat source was simulated at external temperatures of −10 °C, 0 °C, and 10 °C at 90 % external relative humidity with a seal permeance of 3.5 × 10⁻¹² kg/(m²·s·Pa). At −10 °C, 14 % of the internal wall area showed a negative dew-point margin; this reduced to 3 % at 0 °C and to zero at 10 °C. A redesign placing the heat source at the geometric bottom of the housing eliminated the negative-margin area at −10 °C. The workflow is implemented in open-source tools and requires less than 4 hours of computation time on a workstation.","excerptSha256":"b3bc9285ff8f28358733fe335e8c44294e7b85a93ace64e3bf9921998f7b9fa0","id":"ev-a4f9adef011563343592a06f6b4b663a2852cf0dac154c3951b4c9dab9243c37","recordSha256":"7b309daddab0df6bf2dcab64de586abb20e45d6005ed25fcd6ff611cda181ca6","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8612},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08612"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0786","excerptSha256":"12d5080238d0a2b382d56872fd7fd969ad7c725db442d0dc8209d057e1b7e68f","id":"ev-6db72ba5ac59bba7045d45668175ffc71682f2f014339aba3d83f670ef6d6c4a","recordSha256":"7b309daddab0df6bf2dcab64de586abb20e45d6005ed25fcd6ff611cda181ca6","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8612},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08612"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This project developed a prototype wireless sensor node small enough to be enclosed permanently inside a standard IP65 cabinet, transmitting temperature and humidity readings via LoRaWAN. A worked example demonstrates the prediction of condensation onset time for a 2-litre aluminium housing sealed with a silicone gasket subjected to a step change in external relative humidity from 50 % to 95 %. The chapter also addresses the coupling between thermal and hygric calculations, noting conditions under which decoupled analysis is acceptable (Biot number for vapour transfer below 0.1). Measurement techniques for validating hygrothermal models, including gravimetric permeability testing, capacitive sensing, and fibre-optic dew-point measurement, are described.","excerptSha256":"47d428dc1c04c6776474baabd6c29c0e34b927b2c93178684eb3575e3f0ad2b2","id":"ev-2ac950df0a13ae4ac9b22ee067f5dd2f783e6d71fb5d678a0ad8bf72c013c6b6","recordSha256":"2e116088103ac6a79b49e52f43907f4c2ae56926bb4e34532d84d7db07238f54","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8613},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08613"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0786","excerptSha256":"12d5080238d0a2b382d56872fd7fd969ad7c725db442d0dc8209d057e1b7e68f","id":"ev-4e0b688afa95188d339da4a0b5e7adb6e0d92c1807a918f7b97b4dbc8837aff7","recordSha256":"2e116088103ac6a79b49e52f43907f4c2ae56926bb4e34532d84d7db07238f54","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8613},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08613"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A hygrothermal model of a polyphthalamide (PPA) junction box used in crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules was subjected to a global sensitivity analysis using the Sobol variance decomposition method. Nine input parameters were varied: gasket vapour permeability, gasket cross-section width, groove surface roughness, internal air volume, internal polymer sorption isotherm slope, external temperature amplitude, external humidity amplitude, solar irradiance-driven temperature offset, and potting compound surface area. Each parameter was sampled over physically realistic ranges drawn from the literature and from in-house measurements. A total of 18 432 model evaluations were performed. The first-order Sobol index for the time to condensation onset was dominated by gasket vapour permeability (S₁ = 0.41) and external humidity amplitude (S₁ = 0.28). Grove surface roughness had a smaller but non-negligible contribution (S₁ = 0.09). The analysis identifies gasket material selection and installation surface finish as the most impactful design levers for extending the condensation-free service life of PV junction boxes.","excerptSha256":"b8aeddc6cbddc71b26b18aa50272a98311ee4749e4662b897d6320eab58526e5","id":"ev-428f4590b641633be34a0f0e0eeb8afcbc8f856e086fa50aff60714f8be39c24","recordSha256":"cd3b720929b757e5cf55b79cb9cdb860e4057081bd989bd4d190363c31d9d0c7","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8615},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08615"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0786","excerptSha256":"12d5080238d0a2b382d56872fd7fd969ad7c725db442d0dc8209d057e1b7e68f","id":"ev-a7f7dd6a30941f2c553ce2beb338ee807b4e586d471495776da6abe1ca82113b","recordSha256":"cd3b720929b757e5cf55b79cb9cdb860e4057081bd989bd4d190363c31d9d0c7","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8615},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08615"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"A simulation workflow is described that takes hourly meteorological station data (dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity) as its sole external boundary condition and predicts the time-history of the dew-point margin on the coldest internal surface of a sealed outdoor enclosure. TPU exhibited the largest sensitivity, with permeability increasing by 34 % after thermal ageing and 27 % after UV ageing, accompanied by visible surface crazing and a 15 % reduction in hardness. Shore A hardness, tensile elongation at break, and infrared spectroscopy were used to characterise degradation mechanisms. The results indicate that TPU is not recommended for long-service-life outdoor enclosures exposed to solar radiation.","excerptSha256":"737471ac57d9ca0060f4a94d20c193d950ac46ff3022768f407385c5b4d5518c","id":"ev-797cbed8ba7eb987db0469846868b90fa8dadda59eb0c6a2653520a9f00787a1","recordSha256":"44de12737acd30c66925fa8754ad52cd05534f80293ef7c24d8dbb7ea4c03d1c","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7687},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07687"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0786","excerptSha256":"12d5080238d0a2b382d56872fd7fd969ad7c725db442d0dc8209d057e1b7e68f","id":"ev-6bf9ae6adf545084761d5035cf0061f7e7bb7fff702cd40e3badcf31fc8c4b2d","recordSha256":"44de12737acd30c66925fa8754ad52cd05534f80293ef7c24d8dbb7ea4c03d1c","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7687},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07687"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Temperature distribution and natural convection patterns in a sealed rectangular enclosure with an off-centre heat source","excerptSha256":"8414c612086dde49bbe97f4aec35b9fe8564f16f0ab8d9941c6dc0516c6eb058","id":"ev-c6e9bf891ba6855a3bb99f9733ff769fb3fe46ce969c3f6dcca0c8ded87e6a3f","recordSha256":"cfbe73979799ea83acd8c7d8ca84f1f539e35a719e893ed9824bc33550a9a130","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/title","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8609},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08609"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0786","excerptSha256":"12d5080238d0a2b382d56872fd7fd969ad7c725db442d0dc8209d057e1b7e68f","id":"ev-7e6d7440d63d58c525aeca5b17456a471fb69c517227b19a717a08bf15e4ea32","recordSha256":"cfbe73979799ea83acd8c7d8ca84f1f539e35a719e893ed9824bc33550a9a130","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":8609},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-08609"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Sabo has a preference for collaborations that involve real hardware and field validation rather than purely simulation-based studies. Seventeen experimental runs yielded response surfaces for tensile strength, elongation at break, Young's modulus, water vapour transmission rate (WVTR), and oxygen transmission rate (OTR). Tensile strength ranged from 7.2 to 16.8 MPa across the design space; OTR varied from 180 to 620 cm³·m⁻²·day⁻¹·bar⁻¹. Optimal conditions identified by desirability function (maximum strength and minimum OTR) were 148 °C, 145 rpm, and 18 wt% protein. At the optimum, predicted and experimental values agreed within 6%. Specific mechanical energy was modelled as a secondary response and found to increase linearly with screw speed but to show a quadratic relationship with protein content, with a minimum near 12 wt% attributed to lubrication effects of denatured protein at low concentration.","excerptSha256":"987c0eff70df26f4cbca695b0cacb23bb5ac2cfa39dbf545195d983c6ddd7732","id":"ev-a46b69e23aa5d77b5476d1144ae4520d4c69aaae3fc73e9438392c1314db3d5f","recordSha256":"bbc4f0c3230ca3443d0ba274ef250267d8a5367ecb8a66210271143a3dc76b0d","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2373},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02373"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R1044","excerptSha256":"a73a13051a09c48a84f74736df6eefbfbf06022ad8f89cec05ecd1ff6fdfd8b0","id":"ev-5f7e9db5dea3906e7117dfba3ff487144c1db5c12411ac9d4a465638abe12f16","recordSha256":"bbc4f0c3230ca3443d0ba274ef250267d8a5367ecb8a66210271143a3dc76b0d","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":2373},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-02373"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R1044","excerptSha256":"a73a13051a09c48a84f74736df6eefbfbf06022ad8f89cec05ecd1ff6fdfd8b0","id":"ev-d8292fa78e39ebb12ccd23583a7e24ed26559ddefc87bd760af442b436c33854","recordSha256":"7ce0780e242c174ca084c7d15037939bea4f7c4334bbf0cf64cadef6667fa990","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/4/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7489},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07489"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R1044","excerptSha256":"a73a13051a09c48a84f74736df6eefbfbf06022ad8f89cec05ecd1ff6fdfd8b0","id":"ev-5077f8d3557b0933e2b87640834772e6172a8675f28e27b19305cae7018475ad","recordSha256":"0f126ea1d190978c19ec86c286addfa60173a64d9e304dc3fd7df70713ed58d8","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":7997},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-07997"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"response invention describes a process for producing a thermoplastic starch–plant protein composite by reactive co-extrusion in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder, wherein a near-infrared or ultrasonic sensor integrated into the barrel provides a continuous signal used to adjust barrel temperature set-points via a feedback loop, maintaining gelatinisation degree within ±5 percentage points of a target value. The process includes adding a dicarboxylic acid compatibiliser at 0.3–0.8 wt% relative to dry blend mass. The patent claims the process itself and the in-line control scheme; it does not claim the material composition. Filed with the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia; PCT extension under evaluation.","excerptSha256":"adc9af5e20416605b5c1ee418a71c3dfb4d3f1259ea3041e681a74c27a04d75d","id":"ev-ae0e198ce42826c9accb9a047dbab35c739ad5e7c794a6fe31877f3b956cff19","recordSha256":"2144fd0c46985039ac049b8f6bad96345391e575c63ec5d7f749afdbe1831c77","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/patents.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/patents/98"},"recordId":"SYN-PAT-099"},"sourceFileSha256":"3b67cedd20f63d29cdb2ee868bd11761f2b4ba7e562988cb4b2af466cefccfe0"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R1044","excerptSha256":"a73a13051a09c48a84f74736df6eefbfbf06022ad8f89cec05ecd1ff6fdfd8b0","id":"ev-0c0619d15a6bfeb6fe2d791f1118ff2a44600ef04bde29e7ce033f11dd550a26","recordSha256":"2144fd0c46985039ac049b8f6bad96345391e575c63ec5d7f749afdbe1831c77","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/inventors/0/researcher_id","file":"data/patents.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/patents/98"},"recordId":"SYN-PAT-099"},"sourceFileSha256":"3b67cedd20f63d29cdb2ee868bd11761f2b4ba7e562988cb4b2af466cefccfe0"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Lalić is scheduled to be on parental leave from October 2026 through approximately April 2027; project and consulting commitments starting before October 2026 can be accommodated. This work tracks dimensional changes in injection-moulded PEI discs and pins stored in sealed packaging at three relative humidity levels (30%, 60%, and 90%) over 18 months. CMM measurements at six-month intervals show that at 90% RH, average diameter growth reached 0.015 mm after 18 months, representing 75% of the maximum allowable tolerance. Moisture uptake at 90% RH reached 1.2 wt%, consistent with literature values for unfilled PEI. Specimens stored at 30% RH showed negligible dimensional change (<0.003 mm). A linear predictive model relating absorbed moisture to dimensional deviation, validated against independent specimens, is presented with 95% confidence intervals. The study provides evidence to support the use of desiccant packaging with a humidity indicator below 40% RH for long shelf-life storage of PEI diagnostic components.","excerptSha256":"ffb8e0d3756d9212550d7dbe490bb19f372ebaeedb15079eb708b20bb1be5eb6","id":"ev-9324835332e44c003e8cc2ff3b9e8f72381846bc1d24a9c602d18b8bae3a5c11","recordSha256":"e83a67de8f529586c5b272435e53e3bd96a9a898b481b5eed62476537b72d279","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1135},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01135"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0084","excerptSha256":"be58c7428d2751038b1928a5767e3f71ecde9b962be0d3b1463a603eb3b2492d","id":"ev-4c68f997d269e193196f0fd271158ea96255c05283b0eb7b64e03ddfed8af0d9","recordSha256":"e83a67de8f529586c5b272435e53e3bd96a9a898b481b5eed62476537b72d279","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/2/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1135},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01135"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Selective laser sintered (SLS) polyamide 12 specimens were subjected to 10 repeated cycles of moisture absorption (95% RH, 37 °C, 7 days) and desorption (23 °C, 50% RH, 7 days) prior to fatigue testing. A control group was tested in the dry-as-built condition. Tension–tension fatigue tests (R = 0.1, 1 Hz, 37 °C) were performed. The cyclic hygroscopic treatment reduced fatigue life at 40 MPa by 38% compared with the dry control group. Micro-CT imaging performed before and after the hygroscopic cycling revealed enlargement of interlayer porosity, with mean pore diameter increasing from 48 µm to 67 µm. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) showed a reduction in storage modulus of 12% and an increase in the loss tangent peak area of 18% after hygroscopic cycling, indicating increased viscoelastic energy dissipation per cycle. The findings are relevant to the growing use of SLS-printed PA12 in patient-specific surgical guides and low-load orthopaedic ancillaries.","excerptSha256":"1c0f1f6c837941f1d4d5c32de7e43631a5ab05734869b75019e3d6cbc59e66ec","id":"ev-5c16ce689cb714c5b015f2461a85bd884c52e3eede3ab305e4325c84995dbb86","recordSha256":"3759eb3d7056d854d6878466a142ca134cddadf2629087fca2f5aa31d0be6057","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1137},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01137"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0084","excerptSha256":"be58c7428d2751038b1928a5767e3f71ecde9b962be0d3b1463a603eb3b2492d","id":"ev-fd7508e7d1d7fc44a40d0f01a195ea16343531b1edc346bd9d37ce102e75c316","recordSha256":"3759eb3d7056d854d6878466a142ca134cddadf2629087fca2f5aa31d0be6057","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/1/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1137},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01137"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Three accelerated ageing protocols for thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) catheter tubing segments are compared: elevated temperature immersion (70 °C in phosphate-buffered saline), combined UV/humidity exposure (UVA, 0.76 W/m², 50% RH), and real-time ageing at 23 °C/50% RH over 52 weeks. Fatigue life under cyclic bending (displacement-controlled, 1 Hz, 180° bend radius) was measured for each protocol at nominal ageing equivalents of 6, 12, 24, and 52 weeks. The elevated temperature protocol was the most aggressive: fatigue life after 24-week equivalent ageing dropped to 42% of the initial value. Molecular weight (GPC), hardness (Shore A), and elongation at break were measured alongside fatigue data. Arrhenius correlation between the 70 °C and 23 °C datasets yielded an activation energy of 84 kJ/mol, within the range expected for hydrolytic degradation of polyester-based TPU. The UV/humidity protocol produced divergent results not predictable from the thermal model, suggesting a different degradation mechanism relevant only to external device surfaces.","excerptSha256":"747454c6ebc6787ee8eca689fe4d440e0adfac026ed62a0c963b470f01f717aa","id":"ev-bd719dcb14b62db67f23b0eb06322251faa53f585996c0e73c1a1136a2a69cf0","recordSha256":"e1bd3d5e39eeb643a6793087798da65e45069a02ccca03d2159c57081e50a821","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1134},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01134"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0084","excerptSha256":"be58c7428d2751038b1928a5767e3f71ecde9b962be0d3b1463a603eb3b2492d","id":"ev-89042a0e62bd91612292a0c7f629efc1cbfb106db46f9a428f1d6ed6a203e288","recordSha256":"e1bd3d5e39eeb643a6793087798da65e45069a02ccca03d2159c57081e50a821","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1134},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01134"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"[\"hygroscopic swelling\",\"dimensional stability\",\"engineering polymers\",\"fatigue behaviour\",\"cyclic mechanical loading\",\"high-humidity ageing\",\"biomedical device materials\",\"polyamide\",\"PEEK\",\"accelerated ageing\"]","excerptSha256":"1e6248be6e95582e80e48c68ea92538a95c641f9d5bef3bddff644dab5a11ca1","id":"ev-bcedfc3fc4ed49771841f8eb8ef91d519aacfa234505cf0820a2c876042416e7","recordSha256":"f4c92aee6edc7a01c805f3e691e66e2c9730c9d7e7d26fb85da318fa7bfb060f","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/keywords","file":"data/researchers.json","locator":{"format":"json","jsonPointer":"/researchers/83"},"recordId":"R0084"},"sourceFileSha256":"00de62344d92b6c41c8b67c7e39b1cd8db5553d4050f4c4e92df89ea172dde40"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"This paper investigates whether DMA measurements—specifically storage modulus E′, loss modulus E″, and the loss tangent tan δ recorded at 1, 10, and 100 Hz—can serve as rapid non-destructive predictors of residual fatigue life in humidity-aged polymer specimens without performing full fatigue tests. Four materials were studied: PA6, PA66-GF30, POM-C, and PEEK, each aged at 85% RH and 37 °C for 0, 4, 8, 16, and 32 weeks. DMA signatures were correlated with fatigue lives measured at a fixed stress amplitude of 40% of the tensile strength for each material–ageing combination (n = 8 per data point). For PA6 and PA66-GF30, tan δ at 1 Hz showed the strongest correlation with residual fatigue life (Pearson r = −0.91 and −0.87 respectively). POM-C and PEEK showed weaker correlations (r = −0.61 and −0.54), consistent with their low moisture uptake limiting the DMA-detectable change. A simple regression-based screening criterion using tan δ thresholds is proposed and its applicability limits are discussed.","excerptSha256":"e36119a4cc2aac86fba243091590a71994524cdbddb4daa599ef8449b49039e3","id":"ev-a8f6fabf288c4dbc8868309b4c449a2b7e554a3baff1fbf57c5ac9056681fe04","recordSha256":"94d13848177a2ca8a1a5b65c5ef27396e7785a803aac5971dc9ce1bf0ff951c4","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/abstract","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1139},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01139"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"R0084","excerptSha256":"be58c7428d2751038b1928a5767e3f71ecde9b962be0d3b1463a603eb3b2492d","id":"ev-43391a3411f10416f2262597e61a434336a6898b2737bd7eb8f0798b85f64f9c","recordSha256":"94d13848177a2ca8a1a5b65c5ef27396e7785a803aac5971dc9ce1bf0ff951c4","source":{"derivedRecordId":false,"fieldPointer":"/authors/3/researcher_id","file":"data/publications.jsonl","locator":{"format":"jsonl","line1Based":1139},"recordId":"SYN-PUB-01139"},"sourceFileSha256":"25d8be510899a943cbed484ae7b7587ca81d538bbe736eff065e928b3b3c0019"},{"canonicalizationVersion":"node-stable-json-v1","datasetCommit":"4fb99b3749adf0d10b5977089ff4c73f4f522240","excerpt":"Dimensional
